  2. There are many different ways of getting round the city
  3. And we'd like to suggest some you may not have thought of.
  4. How about a city trip by boat?
  5. There are four main stopping points.
  6. From west to east.
  7. Stop A, Greenbanks.
  8. Stop B, City Bridge, Stop C, Roman Landing, and Stop D, Newtown.
  9. You can find the main booking office at Stop A.
  10. The first boat leaves at 8am and the last one at 6.30pm.
  11. There are also many attractions you can visit along the river.
  12. At Stop A, if you have time,
  13. You can visit the fine 16th century palace here,
  14. Built for the king, with its beautiful formal gardens.
  15. It's very near the booking office.
  16. Now you can enjoy every corner of this superb residence.
  17. Stop B.
  18. Why don't you visit Tower Restaurant, with its wide range of refreshments?
  19. This is a place where you can sit
  20. And enjoy the wonderful views over the old commercial and banking centre of the city.
  21. Stop C is the area where,
  22. In the 1st century AD, invading soldiers crossed the river.
  23. This was much shallower than it is now.
  24. That's why this area is called Roman Landing.
  25. There's an interactive museum to visit here, with a large shop,
  26. Which has a good range of local history books.
  27. At the furthest point of the trip, Stop D,
  28. The most exciting place to visit is...
  29. Is the new entertainment complex with seven-screen cinema,
  30. Bowling alley and video games arcade.
  31. Castle Hill and Long Walk.
  32. This is a hop-on hop-off service and tickets are valid for 24 hours.

  35. Buses depart from Central Station every five to six minutes from about 9am, with the last bus at around 7pm.
