  3. I've just moved to this area with my wife
  4. And children, and I'd like to know
  5. Where we can all register with a doctor at a health centre.
  6. OK.
  7. Well, there's Dr Green at the Harvey Clinic.
  8. We always recommend her for babies
  9. Because she's very good with them and she runs a special clinic.
  10. Oh, actually, my youngest child is five,
  11. So that wouldn't be any good for us.
  12. Right.
  13. Is there anywhere else I could try?
  14. Yes, the Eshcol Health Practice is the next one on my list.
  15. How do you spell that?
  16. E-S-H-C-O-L.
  17. And it's Dr Fuller who has space on his list.
  18. The clinic only opened a year ago,
  19. So the facilities are all very modern.
  20. That sounds good.
  21. And it's particularly good if you're busy during the day
  22. Because they also do appointments in the evening.
  23. They're closed on Saturday, though.
  24. The only other place on the list is the health centre on Shore Lane.
  25. You can register with Dr Gormley.

  27. He's new there, but the centre has a very good reputation.

  39. As does the Nutritional Therapy Service.
  40. Some health centres do offer alternative therapies like homeopathy
  41. As part of their pay-to-use service.
  42. Shore Lane are hoping to do this soon.
  43. I think they may start with acupuncture.
  44. And finally, if you need to prove you're healthy
  45. Or haven't had any serious injuries before a new employer will accept
  46. You, you can get a free fitness check up there.
  47. But you'd most likely have to pay for insurance medicals, though.

  57. It says the talk will stress the health benefits,
  58. Particularly for people with asthma or heart disease.
  59. That sounds very interesting.
  60. There's also a talk for families with children.
  61. It's on healthy eating
  62. And takes place on the 1st of March at 5 o'clock.
  63. Will that be at the health centre?
  64. Actually, it's at the primary school on Shore Lane.
  65. I imagine they're inviting the parents of pupils there.
