  5. And now my cousin is arriving from Singapore,
  6. And my aunt needs the room for him.
  7. Oh, that's bad luck.
  8. Well, I'll need to get some particulars first.
  9. Sarah, what's your full name?
  10. Sarah Lim, and that's Sarah without the H at the end.
  11. How old are you, Sarah?
  12. Twenty-three, only just.
  13. It was my birthday on the 21st of August.
  14. Happy birthday for yesterday.
  15. How long have you been in Australia?
  16. A year in Adelaide and six months in Sydney.
  17. I prefer Sydney.
  18. I've got more friends here.
  19. What's your address at your aunt's house?
  20. Flat 1, 539 Forest Road, Canterbury.

  24. I was studying general English in Adelaide,
  25. And now I'm doing academic English
  26. Because I'm trying to get into medicine next year.

  30. So I'd better be out on Thursday.

  50. My aunt lives in a flat too, remember?
  51. I'm not used to a big house with a garden,
  52. Swimming pool, pets and all that. OK, fine.

  54. I should let you know that your rent will be $160 per week.
  55. You'll have to pay me $320 as a deposit before you move in.
  56. The deposit is as insurance in case you break something.
  57. You'll need to pay monthly to me by cash
  58. Or cheque, I don't mind.
  59. You don't need to pay for gas, electricity or water,
  60. But you will need to pay your proportion of the phone bill.
  61. Most families do that on an honour system,
  62. But you'll have to wait and see.
