  37. Um, it was a good thing he gave us the course outline
  38. At the beginning, in the first session.

  41. Now, going on to suggestions for improvement, one thing
  42. That wasn't so good,
  43. I think we could have done a bit more work at the beginning.
  44. I mean, at the beginning it seemed dead easy.

  46. I thought it was going to be really easy, and
  47. Then all of a sudden in the second half of the course we got a whole load of work,
  48. Reading to do and essays and things.
  49. Yeah, it'd be better if it was more even.

  54. What I thought was really good
  55. On this course was the standard of teaching.
  56. Actually, I mean, some of the teachers were better than others,
  57. But the standard generally was fine.
  58. Much better than other courses I've been on.

  64. I didn't think it was all that wonderful
  65. When we had great long group discussion sessions
  66. That went on for hours and hours.
  67. I don't mean we shouldn't have group discussions, just
  68. That they shouldn't go on too long.
  69. Now on to materials and equipment.
  70. Oh, now what was good about some sessions was the handouts.
  71. Yes, I thought all the handouts were good, actually,
  72. And some were great, with website addresses and everything.
  73. One problem, though, with materials was the key texts.
  74. Yes, there just weren't enough copies on reserve in the library.
  75. And if you can't get the key texts
  76. Before the session, how are you supposed to do the reading?
  77. And not enough computers.
  78. You have to wait ages to get one.
  79. OK, testing and evaluation.
  80. Well, I don't know.
  81. It's hard to say until we've got our written assignments back.
  82. Oh, don't talk about it.
  83. I only got mine in yesterday.
  84. It was a real struggle.
  85. Oh, I hate to think what mark I'll get.
  86. Yeah, but at least we've done the oral presentation.
  87. I thought that was good,
  88. The way I got my feedback really quickly.
  89. Yes, it was.
  90. And I liked the way we knew what would be evaluated on.
  91. We knew the criteria, so we knew we had to think about...
  92. Clarity, organisation and so on.
  93. Yeah, but I'm not so sure about the written work.
  94. One thing I think is that there's just too much.
  95. It's really stressful.
  96. Oh, yes, I'd agree.
  97. And I don't see why they can't let us know the criteria they use for marking.
  98. The written assignments?
